Alcohol and Drug Rehab in London

When you abuse drugs or alcohol, the potential for addiction will constantly increase as your body and brain begin to physically crave the effects of the drugs. The chemical changes in your brain increase the production of dopamine to unnaturally high levels, leading to a constant preoccupation with enjoying the pleasurable effect of the substance.

Over time, addiction leads to chemical changes in the brain, physical withdrawal symptoms, overdose risk, seizures, potential heart attack, increased likelihood of dementia, liver/kidney failure, and more. Rehab centres, however, can help you reverse most of the damage caused by addiction. They can offer an abstinence-based drug/alcohol treatment programme, that gets to the root of addiction, and helps you to make a full recovery.

Although programmes vary in style and type, the goal remains the same. The most effective treatment procedure begins with a comprehensive assessment, to check for the number of drugs in your system, physical health condition, mental disorders, and other treatment needs. Your treatment plan is tailored to fit your specific treatment needs.

If you’re driving up to Worthing for addiction treatment, it’s a distance of 89.3 miles, which takes around 1 hour and 56 minutes via the M25. There are several trains that commute between London and most major UK cities. If you’re coming from nearby towns, such as Essex and Hertfordshire, trains leave from Newport-London Liverpool Street and Garston-London Euston respectively.

London’s bus network never sleeps and covers the whole city. The double-decker buses are a great way to see the best sights in the city, but they are very slow due to traffic. Night route buses run from 11:30 pm to 5 am. Popular routes include Trafalgar Square, Oxford Circus, and Tottenham Court Road. You can’t pay for bus fares with cash. Buy a Visitor Oyster card, which charges a maximum of £4.50 a day if you only travel with trams and buses.
